• Teaching @PIXL VISN

I’ve been teaching the Animation200 module at PIXL VISN media arts academy since early 2023.

The module consists of 8 lessons, delivered one per week, with each session followed by a review of the homework assignments. Several teams have already completed my class, moved on to subsequent modules, and are now on their way to graduating from the academy to embark on their professional journeys.

I wanted to share a short clip featuring highlights from some of the classes to showcase the structure I bring to these lessons and reviews.

In each class, we discuss concepts, analyze references, and then I demonstrate how to approach the homework in Maya. After the lesson, we hold a review session where I provide feedback and SyncSketch analysis for each student’s submission.

It’s been a thrill to see the students grow, and it’s also been an opportunity for me to deepen my own understanding of movement and animation as we progress through each class.
